Sub-heading text.

A defined advantage strategy is a recurring investment option offered by many mutual fund companies where the investor has to make periodic investments on a predetermined schedule, for example monthly or annually.

The advantage to this type of strategy is that the price of an initial purchase is lower than it would be if one made a lump-sum investment, and if invested properly, can grow interest relatively quickly.

The disadvantage to this type of strategy is that there may not be enough time for the investor's money to accumulate into a large sum before they want to make a withdrawal or sell the investment.
